When you can't find the right hair....

I LOVE Dura hair.  I want to own everything they make, but it looks like shit on me.  No matter what skins, what shape, what outfit I put on, it looks stupid as hell on me.

In protest the other day, I went bald!  Normally I freak out when I loose my hair in public.  I start scrambling for the first hair I can find, at least until I find the hair I want. I was bitching to Mag about it.  Well, I was bitching and she was pretending to listen.  I snatched my hair off and threw it half way across the yard.  She checked up and commented on how hot I looked.

Is the new Drew bald?!?!? I doubt it, but I am digging this outfit I threw together to go with my new do, or lack thereof.

I bet you $500L that the first thing the guys saw was the legs, and it took them a second to figure out that I'm even in this picture.

There's nothing like getting out on the open road, wind in your hair, bugs in your teeth.  I'm a bike junkie.  I love the craftsmanship of a motorcycle.  The rumble of the throttle between your legs.  I found a new bike builder that I absolutely adore.  BUR Motorcycles are quality builds at reasonable prices.  I picked up the  Juggernaut bike for less than $500L.  It has quickly became my favorite bike.  Easy handling, great look, and a even the texture is included to change the license plate and tank.

I feel cheated!  My weekend was snatched from my grasp.  RL whisked me away to the hills of west Texas this weekend. Let me tell you, that's one hell of a drive.  You people in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area seriously need to get your drivers licenses from the DMV, NOT a cracker jack box. 

Other than that.  It was pretty cool.  I haven't been out there for a couple of years.  Nothing has really changed except for the location of the road construction. 

With my hair still de-frizzing from all the wind, I figured I'd pull together alittle outfit to my homage to my little mini vacation.

Lest We Forget

Damn!  It has been one crazy ass week.  I've been preparing to go out of town all week.  Mind you, I'm only going to be gone for a couple of days, but it's been about 2 years since I've been away from home more than 24 hours.  I'm going to be gone, not only for Veteran's Day, but also my anniversary.  EEEEKKK!!!  Great timing, right?!?!
I didn't want to get out of town without paying respect to our Heroes.  I am thankful for every soldier that has ever laced up their boots to serve their country.  An immense gratitude goes out to you for putting your lives on the line so we don't have too.  You ARE loved and appreciated.

I'm anti-mesh.  Well, I'm not anti-mesh.  I'm anti-"the damn mesh viewers that lag me to hell".  That being said,  I've been itching to buy these awesome tucked fatigue pants and boots from Deco.  They look fan-freaking-tastic in the ads.  They look even better one I broke down and logged in to a mesh viewer and slipped them on.  I LOVE these pants and boots.  I just might come around to mesh after all.

Sometimes, when you least expect it...

I wanted to get out and have a few beers.  Not worry about anything, not bouncing across the grid looking for my next outfit to blog.  I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts.  I wandered into an empty pub and ordered a stout of the best local beer they had.  I shuffled over to a table and placed my beer in front of me.  I was lost in the trance of the crackling fire that was smouldering the fireplace.  I watched as the ember glowed through various shades of red and orange.  The flames licked upwards, just kissing the top bricks.

I felt something shift in the ambiance.  The air itself seem to dance around a little more excitedly.  My eyes drifted towards the door just in time to see her walk in.  There was something electrifying in her presence.  I couldn't take my eyes off of her, no matter how hard I tried.  Her hips sashayed passed me after ordering her fancy Italian wine. 

It was just my luck that she sat behind me.  I could still feel her every movement.  Her shoes clicked on the old wood floors as she slide herself into the booth.  I was alone with my thoughts.  There was no denying that now.  They raced through my mind like the wind rustling through an open wheat field.
"Who was she? Why did she have this effect on me? What was it about this woman that took my breath right through my lips?"  I was compelled to approach her.  It was all I could think about.  How could I approach her when I couldn't even utter a word, much less form a coherent sentence?

I looked over my shoulder and her eyes met mine.  I was stunned.  Her eyes were warm and inviting.  It was like she was putting my mind at ease.  I planted my feet firmly under me, praying that my knees wouldn't buckle under my weight.  I managed to make my way to the bar and told the tender that I needed a couple of shot of his finest whiskey.

I tried to act all smooth and suave as I traced my steps back to her table.  I did my best to hide the sweat starting to penetrate the skin on my palms.  There was no hiding it though,  this woman made me nervous.  I'm not sure if it was a good nervous or a bad nervous, but I wanted to find out more about this woman.

The corners of her lips started to turn upwards as she watched me make my way to her table.  I introduced myself and invited her to join me on the couch.  She boldly took the shot from my hand and downed it before I could bring mine to my lips.  This woman was brazen indeed.  Beautiful AND brazen.  Just what I look for in a woman.  I followed her as she walked over to the sofa and we begin chatting.  It seemed like I had known her all my life.  This woman was so much more than I could have ever imagined.

She made me laugh.  I knew I was going to wake up with an aching stomach tomorrow morning.  We laughed until we cried.  I would catch myself getting lost in her eyes.  They drew me in and held me there.

After a few (what seemed like minutes) hours of laughing and talking, I asked her to dance.  I had to feel her in my embrace.  I wanted to know what it was like to have her soft silken skin against mine.

It was more than I could have ever imaged.  Our energies flowed freely between us.  It felt as though I was floating across the floor.  She made everything feel so effortlessly.  It was though I was watching myself from above. 

As the sun started to break the horizon, I knew I had to let her go.  It took all my might to let her slip from my grasp.  I knew I'd be seeing her again though.  I could feel it with everything I had in me.  This was going to be one woman I wouldn't soon forget out.

Newb-tastic

If you follow any of the men's fashion blogs, I'm sure you've seen the Newbie Style Challenge II running full force. Two of my favorite bloggers Bouncer Criss and Steam Engineer (my man crushes), blogged their styles.  I figured, I'd attempt to do the same.  This should be a piece of cake for the girls, but for the guys its a giant pain in the ass.  Unless, of course, you like horrid looking clothes and next to no detailed skins.  I'm allergic to bad skins.  I want to burn everyone I come across.

If you haven't heard about this, it's really quite simple.  You have a maxium of $550L (the smallest amount of lindens you can purchase through the $L in world) to put together a good looking avi.  You have to use freebies, Lucky Chairs, Hunts, or MM boards.  ALL have to be current though.  You're not allowed to use shit you picked up from the first MHOH. 

I swear, I changed shapes/skins/clothes more than the Lindens should allow.  I think I almost crashed one of the asset servers entirely on my own.  I did manage to over heat my laptop, and went to take a nap before I threw it at the nearest wall.

Next time you run into a bad looking newbie, please take him and talk with them.  They don't know where to get all these items, and never have any money.  Remember what it's like to be a newbie and not know anything about SL.  Think about all the people that helped you along the way, and pay that forward.

Getting ready to taste alittle "Dumbo Gumbo".  For those you who have no clue what I'm talking about.  Louisiana State University is playing Alabama.  The mascot for Bama is an elephant.  Should be an awesome game.  #1 and #2 facing each other in the NCAA.  We've been gearing up for this game for the last 3 weeks (atleast).

Taking time...

Now that Halloween is over, its a mad dash to the end of the year.  I swear, it was just like 100 degrees outside, and now it's down in the 30's at night.  Guess who has two thumbs and hasn't even started thinking about Christmas......*points to self*...THIS BOI!!!!

Remember when you were a kid and the days just crawled by?  Back when you counted down to every vacation, and the weekends just never seemed to get here.  I don't know where that time went, but I want it back, or atleast the ability to slow down time when I choose.  Now I blink and the next Holiday is upon us.  It seems like I just dont have time time to get out and just explore anymore.  I take that back, it's not that I dont have time, I just don't make the time.  There's always something just alittle more pressing than bouncing from location to location without any major agenda in mind.

Late last night, I made the time.  I didn't get to take long, but it seemes like it was enough.  It reminded me of the reasons I started blogging.  The love of taking pictures. I found this awesome little spot to show off an outfit I picked up from GizzA, and these amazing boots from Lapointe & Bastchild.

I rarely wear high-top boots.  Most of the time I can never get them fitted correctly and I can see down the boot leg.  HATE THAT!!! or I never have an outfit that matches with them.  I picked up the boots from L&B a while back, but have never wore them for that simple fact.  Last night I did, and they made me drool all over my keyboard. 

Not my usual style, I know, but I'm totally digging it.  Sometimes everything comes together just how it's suppose to and completely blows your expectations out of the water.

Over Worked and Under Paid

Hell, I'd just like to get paid.  Or laid.  Whichever.  Both actually would be even better.   Anywho,  it's been a hectic couple of days.  Getting ready for Halloweenie, clearing land, watching the snow fall, dropping a new house, and adding a deck.  I finally got me somewhere to park my ass. When I sat down in front of the fire with a cup of hot chocolate,  I passed smooth out.  I didn't care of it was snowing, or I was freezing my ass off.  It seemed like the perfect place to take a nap.

Stress Relief

I have SOOOO been slacking, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart.  You know how it is though, right?!?!  RL comes barging in and makes you take care of it for alittle bit.  It's kinda like having a kid sometimes.  I've literally been wearing todays blog for a week.  I NEVER wear the same thing more than 2 days in a row.  I really wanted to blog this outfit though, and had I taken it off then it would have gotten lost in my abyss called an inventory.

Black is the new Black

Let me start off by saying, TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  It has been one long ass week. (Well it was Friday when I started the blog, now its Saturday so Welcome to Saturday!!)

Now that's out of the way, I can get back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Sudden Snap of Frost in the Air

When you live in Southern U.S. there are 3 seasons.  Hot,  hotter than hell, and almost winter.  A couple of days ago we had the air conditioner on.  Yesterday, we had a turn to the cool side.  Temps dropped 40 degrees overnight.  Now I feel like making a huge pot of gumbo, lighting the fire place, and run to the nearest pumpkin patch.  It FINALLY feels like Fall.

I opened up my closet and pulled out a warm fuzzy sweater to wrap myself up in.  I searched and searched for a kickass pumpkin patch, but couldn't find one that I thought was good enough to show off this awesome new sweater I picked up from Kal Rau.  I ended up just taking the picture at mine and my wife's house, since I have such fantastic talent for decorating land.

Barefoot Blue Jean Night...

Somedays you don't feel like getting dressed up, dressed down, or even dressed for that matter.  Somedays, Your favorite pair of jeans and shirt are the answer to any question.  Those days when you don't want to work, or socialize. Those days when you want to hop in your old truck and drive till you run out of gas. 

Today was one of those days for me.  Nothing bad happened, no real ryme or reason.  I just wanted to get out in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the beauty around me.  Luckily for me, -JB- Mens Wear released an awesome new shirt and tanks.  These may very well be my new favorite comfy clothes.

Sometimes you just want to Shoot something!

So I created this blog several months ago, but have epically failed to do anything with it.  It seems like that vulgar world (Real Life) has been getting in the way.  I've blogged a little before and it really does take a lot of effort to get everything together.  I've been putting together outfits with the intent to blog about them, but taking the pictures for it is as far as I've gotten.  So today, I'm bringing you the very first installment of Drew's Warped World.

Some days stress out weighs everything else.  I've found the best way to de-stress is just to run out and shoot a few things.  If you haven't ever tried this method, I highly suggest you do it.  Don't half ass do it though,  really get into it.  Full camo, slinking through the woods, tracking your next victim. 

As I laced up my boots, and slipped my helmet on my head I got that twinge of excitement.  I grabbed my gun and headed to the thickest forest I could find.  I soon learned that being quiet under heavy isn't the easiest thing to do.
